'You could waste a life checking the veracity of things that you have allowed to shape it- but isn't it the truth that mankind is long beyond the tipping point where the truth actually matters. Once learned to black belt level 'deception' is an insidious skill, a deep seated addiction that can never be forgotten or cast aside. I have deliberately associated it with a martial art- a thing said to be solely for defense BUT invariably used for attack. This beautifully suits the innate anger blighted creature that we are.' CM
'I am beginning to think that we collectively believe that there is no limit to the self-denial that we can all indulge in without things going wrong: it is lunacy BUT maybe we prefer lunacy to responsibility.
On the BBC's Newsnight last night I was much entertained by the 'madness' of a female conservative MP; [Black crop, black dress, fuschia pink silk jacket] an insectoid woman with a backgrou
nd of 25 years in finance; [I did wonder what that was an euphemism for]; she argued to a Nobel Prize winning Economist [clearly her intellectual superior] that the recession was a myth. He crushed her like one crushes beetles to extract the colour cochineal.
However, to be fair, I could see where she was coming from- the recently published TIMES RICH LIST makes it very clear that only a very tiny percentage of the multi-millionaires who list GB as their prime residence had failed to increase their massive wealth in the last twelve months. No cut-backs or austerity for them then and some twat like this silly bitch, trying to make the best of her TV appearance, would instantly point to the fact that the spending of the wealthy injects life into the economy and creates jobs.
Yes dear- that is what every black plastic credit card holder thinks of when they flash their improbable hedge fund against recession in a supermarket where the proletariat are grubbing around for bargains. Mmm democracy, of which she is an active participant, is no longer remotely democratic but actually very entertaining in the tradition of the old music halls. The show is never over until the fattest lie is finished being sung, and the choirs of cunts show no intention of embracing silence.
The very erudite Nobel Prize winner succinctly invited us to divest ourselves of our denial concerning the worldwide fiscal catastrophe- he was not being a party pooper or a harbinger of doom; he was saying it as it is. In his view Greece will default and leave the Euro; there will be a domino effect which will not save Spain; Portugal and Italy are vulnerable. In the last week 50 billion dollars of private funds were removed from Greek banks and it is a gathering trend.
Capitalist debt is so astronomic world-wide that a catastrophe is unavoidable: for 'catastrophe' read selecting a reboot point from which all debt is cancelled and the whole system is restarted.
Mmm so what was this woman doing for 25 years in 'finance'- might I suggest she was learning and then utilising the skills necessary to 'legally' redistribute money to the benefit of herself and her virtually invisible employers. In simple terms it is theft from the pockets of the vast majority of mankind to fill the tax free accounts of financial billionaires. They are no more than vastly bloated vampiric tics who literally live off of the blood and sweat of others.
If they cared, which they don't, then a person worth 10 billion could fairly redistribute 9 billion and still be extremely rich: now find me anyone in the world willing to sign up to such a percentile scheme. Just like 'god' they do not fucking exist. Do I hear you screaming 'But that's just not fair!' PUT ME RIGHT THEN because I am obviously deluded, embracing lunacy and in need of drugs.' CM
'I've been thinning seedlings [ pricking out ] and potting on plants, some of these are a fresh batch of 'Honesty'; the irony was not lost on me and my mind turned to comparisons with Facebook: a weed, twats say, is only a plant in the wrong place, the sort of vegetable folk who garden like fascists, god-botherers untroubled by their miserable attempts to better 'god' or nature, the sort of bird o
bsessed twitchers who swoon at the sight of a Hoopoe in Crete and use this social network as a triple glazed extension of their L-shaped living room/diner, the highlight of which is a portrait of Christ carrying a lantern and looking shifty. The greenhouse did not make me green with envy of them BUT it did cover me with agreeable soil and sweat. I am just about to give my dirty bits a substantial soaping. Ola! That reminds me- I have yet to spray the lupins [ infested with aphids..FB again ] with a dilution of Fairy Liquid and water.' CM
'With the shameless anachronistic habit of Osho I can be black and white on the same page and dare you to crucify me for it: at one and the same time I can be typically a Universal Monarchist Egalitarian and a British Republican; I question the legal claim of the Windsors to the throne whilst recognising that possession [ theft ] constitutes 9 out of 10 points of the law.
That said, last night I
watched Prince Charles' BBC tribute to his long-serving mother and was considerably informed and indeed spellbound. The idea that the Queen could or would ever walk away from her avowed responsibilities to those she serves is clearly not now or ever has been a choice that is in her gift; she is imprisoned by duty.
I could nit-pick on a vast raft of issues concerning the UK royals but on this central one- QE2's unbroken promises, she commands my absolute respect. In this tribute to her, her eldest son, The Prince of Wales and heir to the throne, appeared palpably human and quite unafraid of expressing clearly genuine emotions- a lot of chuckling and a few times on the brink of tears.
Burdened immensely by the greatness that we have thrust upon them- constantly in the glare of the media and knowing better than anyone 'heavy is the head that wears the crown', we should not forget that they are also given to all the joys, sorrows, strengths and weaknesses of human beings world-wide. Reflecting on that truth it is miraculous that they have survived.
Now, I am not one to believe much in miracles; I favour the notion that you reap what you sow and that keeping your promises and applying yourself with hard-work to the duty that is incumbent in all our lives is a worthwhile way of living.
To that end Queen Elizabeth has become a magnificent example of that ethic. I congratulate her most sincerely and very much hope that her method of sticking to the task in hand will become broadly fashionable once again.' CM
'How it happened I don't know but I fell out of 'like' with the brilliant Fine Art of Paul Cadmus; lately I have become reacquainted with it and confess that this time around I have fallen in 'love' with it. The work and any commentary on it is attracting huge slabs of my attention.' CM
'The Ideal Home Magazine UK has as its constant thrust throughout how to get the look and from where for less. It is a not exactly non-biased journal set to educate the taste challenged on a tight budget how to impress their dinner party guests. I have many negatives to throw at this waste of £3.95 but my favourite is that even when it rises above being shit it remains far less than ideal.' CM
'Nature can be seen as 'harsh' through our sentimental disconnected from reality eyes- at this time of the year from our experience and what the RSPCA has informed me many many fledglings fail to learn how to fly or simply fall from the nest from lack of room; their parents will attempt to continue feeding them wherever they fall until they meet their inevitable end in the jaws of a predator.
Hum
an intervention rarely succeeds because you have to feed the orphans constantly to prevent them dying from malnutrition from malnutrition. Best course of action is to leave things to nature and NOT INTERFERE.
I could not help reflecting that there is a lesson in this for all of us. We should interfere less in many things- it is not natural and only really modernist human. Having said that I would be among the long dead and discarded because without my vast raft of prescription drugs I simply would not be here- that is a truth adjunct to my persisting problem of not wanting to being here.
You cannot help but be inspired somewhat by the ridiculousness of a 20 stone jaded cynic writer wanting to do something about a fallen baby Blue Tit and finding it a hopeless cause- I regularly get to that point with the war-mongering, the ignorant and the bigoted but they all miss the truth that I care.
When you have a lost a child to death, seen grown men 'at play' in a slaughterhouse, watched yuppies throw unwanted puppies onto a bonfire it is a hard thing to keep some modicum of faith in the virtues of the human spirit. Too many of us leave the nest too soon, bragging about our flying skills, believing we have comic superhero powers to overcome all predators and succeed at the expense of billions who will necessarily have to fail for that to happen.
Maybe when 'god' sees that in action and seeks to do something about it he contacts an even greater power and his advice is- leave things be. Exactly why there is no evidence of 'god' whatsoever on our planet and, so long as we are detached from and see ourselves as superior to nature, then we are to remain a pathetic and arrogant sham of a super species.' 'I remember listening to an erudite Professor of Maths talking on the radio such eminent sense concerning the UK Lottery run by Camelot- the chances of winning that lump of dosh at ANY juncture is estimated at 13million to 1. He says it makes no sense to invest in it and he is of course right. But hundreds of millions do- I guess because they are wooed by images of those who do win vast sums and t
hat awful phrase 'you have to be in it to win it'. That enormous numbers of human beings can be lured into doing things which are erstwhile proven to be utterly senseless should come as no surprise to those of us who think outside their gene pool. More will be tempted this weekend when the Euro Millions tempts them with the prize of £126 million- at increased odds of arguably 25million to 1. This enterprise produces a huge tax fund which is then spent on things which we should be making our Government directly responsible for. They cleverly utilise our combined greed and stupidity to create a cash flow for the Inland Revenue. My dearest wish would be for the creation of a Ministry of Creative Collaboration who would be given such powers to utilise our combined greed and stupidity- a window in the impenetrable blank wall of our future might then conceivably be constructed. It is, I am afraid, a win win situation that will not find favour BECAUSE it stinks of positivity.' CM
